There is a drought in Texas and that means there is no water.  Animals can die because they don't have any water and food, because food needs water to grow.   I have seen a drought when we drive to Kalli's house and we go over a bridge and there is no water under the bridge.

A drought can also make a fire because it is dry.  There are fires near where we live and that is not good.  People need to save water because you need water to live.  One way to save water is to take a shorter shower.  Also we should not water the grass a lot.
