Daddio: 9/21/11 Blog of the Day

We saw RAIN over the last few days.  And even though it wasn't nearly as much as we need, it was nice to see it, right?  So for today's blog of the day, I want you guys to write poems about rain, and maybe... just maybe... we can convince the Earth to give us a little more.

I want you to write two poems.  The first should be a haiku poem (remember: 5-7-5 syllable pattern).  It should have three verses.

The second should be an acrostic poem where you come up with a sentence about rain (for example, "We Need Rain") and then you make a poem where you come up with a word for each letter in your sentence.
