Flash Perkins

Flash Perkins is 34 and has a wife and one son and two daughters.  He works real hard and is very poor.  Flash Perkins doesn't have a slave but he wants one some day. Flash Perkins was a good person and was not mean to people on his side.  He does not read or write at all.  He lived in Fayettesville, Arkansas.  He was very happy to be in the civil war as a private.

Flash Perkins' wife 

 Ivarene Perkins was 30 and was Flash Perkins' wife.  She thought blacks were dumb and that there was no point in needing them.  She hates Yankees for trying to force their beliefs on the South. She lived with her parents and her husband, George, and her two kids.

George Otott

 George Otott lived in Atlanta, Georgia.  The people who lived with him were his parents, his wife and his two small children.  He is 38 years old.  He went to a private school in England.  He could not understand why his 75 slaves were unhappy.  He was a major in the Confederate army.

Millicent Milburn Otott

George's Wife 

 Millicent Otott is Georges Otott's wife.  She is 33 and has kids.  She owns a large house and farm and she thinks that slaves are better off on big farms.  She is rich and used to have partiesbefore the civil war.
