Dear Walter,
Happy thanksgiving. Your aunt is making dinner so I have to write this letter. Margaret and I are praying for you and your victory over those Johny Rebs. I worked half the day, seeing as I manage my own time. I am going to make myself work twice as hard tomorrow, but it's worth it. Please return in one piece so we don't have to worry too much. We both miss you and good luck with your unit.
