Avery: Blog Of The Day

Daylight Savings was started by Benjamen Franklin.  There were many arguments after he told the idea to the world.  Some said they didn't want to change the time every now and then.   Some people said it was just too confusing and that everyone will forget that it's going to happen.  The big confusion was when railroads and postal service got included.  It was hard for many people because they didn't know when they were supposed to get on and when everything opened.
Daylight Savings Time is so that people get an extra hour outside.  It was created for children to have more time outside and play.  It was for people to have more time to explore and for tourists to come out and look at things and they have an extra hour to do all of that.  Daylight Savings Time at another point is to save energy.  So that people will turn their "electrical supplies" off and take a small break from using so much electricity.
Now, not all countries do Daylight Savings.  Some places thinks it's just pointless.  Other countries do it at completely different times.  For example, Egypt does it completely different.  Last year, in 2010, Egypt changed their clocks four times.  That means that they did Daylight Savings two times last year.
I think that we shouldn't have Daylight Savings Time.   My big problem with it is that it confuses me.  I never know what the real time is.  For all I know it could be 7:22 right now.   Also I hate how we have to change all the clocks and watches in the house for it.  Although this weekend it will get darker at night.  It just bothers me.
