The Monkey Murder
By Connor

It was a terrible night. A young female monkey was asleep in her cage, little did the zoo keepers know she would never wake up.  The following morning the zoo keepers found the young monkey with a cut on her neck so severe that her head was no longer connected to her body.  That was when the zoo keepers called a detective to solve the case, but the detective couldn't solve the case and therefore it was left up to the members of the animal kingdom.  Finally the animals decided that a human was the culprit, but to them every human was the same.  The detective tried again to solve the case, this time asking who else was at the crime scene last night.  The zoo keepers told the detective that the only other person to have touched the deceased monkey last night was the vet. "You see that monkey was sick, but the illness was just a common cold."    The following night the adult animals stayed awake while the young ones slept.  Suddenly the youngest adult monkey named James, whom was wearing a pair of glasses, saw a sword swinging toward him. He also saw a black helmet that looked like it was used in the middle ages.  James dodged swiftly and the next day told the other animals what he had seen.  The zoo keepers checked the footage from the cameras hidden all around the zoo.  On the footage taken two nights ago they saw a man in steal armor slicing the monkey's head off.  The following night the lions were the animals on watch, but they were looking at their own cubs rather than at the monkeys' young.  Soon another monkey was in peril, the strange knight had hung the monkey.  The next morning the detective looked at the corpse of the second monkey and the corpse of the first monkey.  He noticed that both were killed like people in the middle ages.  Next the zoo keepers came in holding a sword and shield, one zoo keeper put down the sword the other put the shield down.  The detective questioned all four of the zoo keepers that were working last night and one says that he was practicing a magic spell that was supposed to bring people from different time periods to the present.  The zoo keeper explained that he was using it to bring a wizard back from the middle ages because he couldn't get the spell right.  The detective asked if he was performing this spell the night the first monkey died.  The zoo keeper told the detective yes and promised to not use the spell again.  Then the detective asked to see this book of spells and when he saw the book he recited the spell in reverse at twelve o'clock and the knight disappeared.
The End or is it?
