Mommio: Cooking With Kids

Yesterday we cooked a meal to go along with our World Geography Unit.  Right now we are still studying North America and this week the focus is on Canada.  We will be using this cookbook for all of our Geography cooking:
We like this book because it is organized by region and the include a little food history and interesting facts for each section. For last night's meal the kids cooked Maple Chicken, Wild Rice and Blueberry Crisp.

Blueberry Crisp
Our Canadian meal was a huge success-  There were several who "LOVED" the chicken, several who "LOVED" the rice and almost everyone loved the blueberry crisp, except for Kiki who didn't like "that blue stuff". Next time we do geography cooking it will be for the USA, and the menu involves fried chicken, corn on the cob and brownies...I'm pretty sure that one will go over well with all the toes!
