A quick update. We were originally going to leave Saturday morning and drive back to Albuquerque for the night, then back to Marble Falls by Sunday night. But there's a wicked winter system coming through Friday night that is going to leave 5 to 7 inches of snow overnight and then it's going to snow all day Saturday. So we're going to drive back a day early and leave for Albuquerque tomorrow morning, then back Saturday night.
However, even though it's sad to leave a day early and get here a day late-- it was still very much worth it. None of us have ever seen the Grand Canyon and the entire trip would have been worth it if we only could have stayed one day and saw it.
On a happy note- it snowed an inch last night and the kids woke up and rushed out to play in it. The snow was thick and wet and made great snowballs. Max asked if Santa flew over us and dropped the snow out of his bag.
