Marney and Mason: Mojave Desert Animal

This is an animal that we might see in Death Valley. It is called the Giant Desert Hairy Scorpion. It is 15 to16cm long. It can repeatedly feed on other scorpions. How it got it's common name is the black hairs on it's back. It can use it's hairs to sense vibrations in the soil.  Here is a video of a pet Giant Hairy Desert Scorpion eating a cricket.
