Today in our unit study of the Mojave Desert we learned about the plants that we might see while we are visiting there. Here is a plant identification sheet that Mason labeled and Kiki colored.
We are also learning a lot about the geology of the area by playing Geo-Bingo during our unit study. The kids are having fun with it and learning to use terms like alluvial fan, stratus and their favorite- hoodoo. Here's what a hoodoo looks like-
