Avery: Blog Of The Day

A Blue whale is the largest animal/ mammal in the world. It's average size is the size of three school buses. Sometimes they can get over 100 feet. Also it's heart is the size of a small car. Newborn baby blue whales are 23 feet. The can gain 10 pounds an hour from eating and drinking. Blue whales eat lots of krill and shrimp like animals underwater. They will eat them if they are at least 3 inches. Also they have no teeth, so they just swallow their food instead of chewing it. Blue whales live in almost every ocean of the world.  2,000 off coast of California. Sadly people have been hunting them too much so the are now an endangered species.
