Avery: Blog Of The Day

Pan
Pan is the son of Hermes and Penelope (who later married Odysseus). He was the god of goatherds and shepherds. He was very joyful, kind and nice to almost everyone. He was half goat. He had goat legs, feet and horns. He even had a big beard. His name "Pan" means panic. There are two good explanations on how he got the name. The first one is that he was presented when Zeus defeated the titans, and said that his yelling made the titans scared and run away. The second one is that people say he made noises in the woods and scared travelers. I believe the first one.
