Cooking With Kids: Two Ingredient Fudge

Today Kiki and Max made five flavors of fudge all by themselves using a super simple recipe found on the
A Few Shortcuts blog.  Here's the recipe:
Two Ingredient Fudge
1 (12 ounce) can of ready to spread frosting, any flavor
1 (12 ounce) bag chocolate chips, any flavor

1. Dump together in a microwave safe dish.
2. Microwave on high 30 seconds, stir.
3. Continue until melted together.
4. Spread mixture in greased 9x9 pan and allow to cool.
5. Cut and serve.

The kids chose to make these flavors: chocolate icing/butterscotch chips, cream cheese icing/semi sweet chocolate chips, strawberry icing/white chocolate chips, chocolate icing/peanut butter chips, chocolate icing/mint chips.  Here they are cutting, pouring, microwaving, stirring and spreading.

And here they are with their fudge!

Wow! We are sooo trying this! I am pinning it!! I also read that you can take a can of frosting and whip it with the mixer and it doubles in volume! Been meaning to try that, too.

Looks like the kids can now make their own xmas goodies!!
