I love apples because they are so, so, so pretty.  They taste great.  I love their colors.

 I hate apples.  I hate all kinds of apples.  I hate red ones and green ones.  

I hate them because they taste bad.

 Apples are red a green.  They grow on trees.  They are fruit.
