Dear Dad,
A volcano just erupted and broke the fifth largest glacier on the island named Eyjafjallajokull. It started to smoke. It was bad weather for hikers. The chief of police told everybody to leave the island. The firefighters took us away on a boat to another island where we were safe. I will be back home after the lava all goes into the water and makes the island bigger.
