Connor: Blog Of The Day

The entire thing was inspired by the traditions of Europe's past.  For instance it is based on an ancient Irish tradition back when the Celtic religion was around.  It also is based on Candlemas and the abilities of a saint from the time when the Saxons ruled England.  Groundhog Day dates back to the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.  In North America most times the groundhog predicts that winter will last six more weeks.
