Mommio: The Water Mat!

This week a cool new water toy arrived- the water mat!  And last night we got to try it out for the first time.  

Here are the kids rolling the huge mat down the hill to the lake.

 Then everyone anxiously ripped the plastic cover off.

And Nana and Popo heaved it into the lake.

Then Gabe, the luckily nominated "first user", got to roll the mat out right on the water--to our amazement, just as advertised!

Then everyone took a turn trying it out. Here they are all standing at once for the first time.  It's wobbly, but they all got their balance pretty quickly.

And Jack, who wanted to jump off the ends like everyone else.  This is the point where Nana was begging me to come get him because he just wouldn't stay on the thing.

And Daddio had fun on it too.

Here's a couple of quick videos: the first one is of the kids doing a  group jump off the mat.  The second is one of our waterfall we always have when the pool is emptied at the end of the day- the kids look forward to cleaning up because of this moment, and the water mat made it even more fun.
