There was a giant explosion at the Gulf of Mexico last week. Immediately the oil rig blew up and a bunch of oil came out into the ocean. They don't know how it blew up or what happened. I think that when the oil was pumping it hit another oil tank and they had an electrical reaction that made them both blow up.

That is about what happen...it is a very terrible thing for a lot of sea creatures and people who depend on the sea for their living.
