Mommio: Home With Four

Today was the first day of school at Joan's Academy for the four older toes.  Joan's is a once a week 4-H sponsored school for homeschool kids to attend for group classes (academics and electives).  Hopefully they will blog about all the details tomorrow. The kids were super excited about going, here they are headed off to school this morning.
While they are there all day I am home with four toes...how odd...how quiet...not sure it feels right yet, but I know we are going to have some fun Monday mornings together with Nana.  Today Nana was leaving town so we headed off to the library on our own.  Jack and Max don't remember going to the library so it was a new experience for them and they did pretty well.  Kiki and Marney loved it! They all picked out tons of books and movies, I lugged the stuff to the checkout-  only to find out I owed a big fine and they only take cash (which I didn't have) so no books for us today.  Would have been nice of them to send me a notice in the mail or something.  We decided it was just a really good practice run for our new weekly library visit.  Although Jack was not too thrilled to leave behind the penguin books he had picked, and Max is still asking to go back and get his Thomas Train movie.  After that mess, we headed to McD's for a special lunch together.  It was indeed a happy meal!
It's almost time to go pick up the big kids and I can't wait to hear all their first-day-of-school stories!

Max and Jack look pretty serious about that milk. I'm glad to hear everyone enjoyed school when I called earlier today. All you toes (school and non-school) are awesome.
