2009 Roadtrip: Update #14.5

We made it! 1,604 miles and 26 hours of travel time over two days and we made it from Marble Falls to Nags Head. Many won't believe this, but the trip was actually really smooth and relatively pain-free. With the exception of the baby crying over a poop diaper this afternoon, we had no breakdowns or major kid-fights.

And then we got to the house.

Wow.

I mean... wow.

It was dark, so I don't have all the pictures, but this place is way better than I even thought it would be-- and I thought it was going to be awesome. 5 bedrooms, 4 and a half bathrooms (and the master bath has a giant whirlpool tub), three floors, a huge hot tub and it's right on the beach. Obviously we won't be swimming, but the view is pretty awesome.

I was able to take a few pictures while we unpacked. Did I mention it's a three story structure?





The living room is huge with a gigantic sectional in it that you can lay out on:



The kitchen is also really big, with a bar and granite countertops:





And the dining area has the kitchen table of my dreams-- a large square table with spacious seating for 8, but you could get all 10 around the table if you space it out right. Sweet.




Tomorrow I'll post up some pictures of the whole place. It's really amazing.
