Today in art class at Weaver's Bottom we learned all about stained glass. We made the traditional preschool stained glass of black paper cutouts with colored tissue paper. And then we painted some glass plates (thanks Nana!) with a mixture of food coloring and glue. Later, when they are all dry we will use black puffy paint to trace the lines of the patterns and make it look more like stained class. We used mandala patterns for our designs, which are circular symbols used by Indian religions as a focal point for meditation. The kids all loved this one and they turned out great!
