Mommio: It's Raining, It's Pouring
So, I guess you know you live in Texas when the kids act like it is snowing outside every time it rains. After a very long, hot, dry summer it has been finally raining and this afternoon it has been POURING for several hours already. The kids are so excited, as if they have truly never seen rain before. Gabe is repeatedly checking the radar online, they all keep going out on the front and back porches just to look at it and all the "amazing" things. They told me the road is flooded and that it actually has a "current" on it. The entire house is surrounded by a "swamp". All the cars make these amazing sprays of water as they drive by. Too bad they can't go out and play in it- too much thunder and lightning- but they seem pretty happy just looking!

Neat post! I had never thought about not seeing rain very often. Here in South Carolina, the weather people may say we are in a drought, but we get a ton of rain. In fact it is supposed to rain tonight!
