Avery: Our Day

This morning we went to Westside Park with Grandma and Grandpa! It was soooooooooooooooooooo hot outside... so we stayed there for only an hour or two. At the park we got so sweaty and tired. When we got there we tried to play with the microphones first. BUT... THEY WERE BROKEN!!!!!

When we were done at the park we went home to look at Alaska pictures that Grandma and Grandpa brought. There were thousands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When we saw the boat... all of us kids freaked out and got excited. It was super fancy. The inside of the boat was pretty much made out of gold. We also saw a picture of a moose! It was very blurry. After we looked at pictures and had lunch, we all went to the La Quinta pool to swim. The water wasn't that cold at all. It was pretty warm!  We stayed there for about an hour or two.

When we got back from the pool we played Moose in the House and Poo. We didn't finish the game of Poo. But we played Moose in the House twice. After dinner Marney and Kiki went to the hotel with Grandma and Grandpa.

Connor: Science

Today we started our first day of the science unit on not affecting our environment.  We had more trash than usual like 8 diapers, many bits of food  and food containers and paper.  Yeah so basically we did not reduce our trash today.  Today you kids made dish soap and laundry detergent.  Mason and I had not helped.  I really can't wait to start tomorrow's activity.

Connor: My New Bedroom

Yo, Toes today I am moving into my new bedroom.  Marney is playing with her flip video camera.  Tonight is going to be the first time I sleep in my new bedroom.  Mommio is moving my bed into my bedroom.  Dadddio is sorting his tools.  When we're done the kids are going over to Nana's house. Here's me in my new room!

Connor: D&D

Tonight we completed a whole book of adventures in D and D.  As Aust Sianodel, an elven duskblade, me and the rest of the team took down someone who worships the evil goddess of disease.  I knocked her down with one hit.  Then after we killed her she turned into some undead person. We took her down, but it wasn't easy. She just wouldn't die.  Before we fought her we fought a vampire who was doing experiments on some dude.  This kind of vampire was the kind you see in a really old movie.  This type of vampire called a Nosferatu which looked like something out of the movie of the same name.

Connor: Our Week So Far

Okay toes this past week has been a lot of fun.  Just to recap on the week I will tell you what we did and how much fun I had doing it.  First off we went on a three day camping trip.  When we got home Daddio and the oldest four toes watched Phantasm 2.  Now today we put up some ornaments from Grandma and Grandpa, thanks by the way.  Tonight we are playing D&D and it is Marney's first time as a pixie.

Avery: What I Did Today

Today we went to a play call Walking With The Dinosaurs! People made these robot dinosaurs and put them on stage with a guy that would talk all about them. My favorite dinosaur was the t-rex! It was huge and loud. I thought that is was funny when The big T-rex roared sooo loud and then the baby T-rex did a tiny growl. After the show we went to Chili's for diner. I had a corn dog. I love watching plays and I can't wait to see an other one.

Avery: What I Did Yesterday

Yesterday was Halloween! When everyone was here we got to have our dinner, we had tacos. The Weavers and Miki's family was with us. When we had dinner we got to look at the art (We are having an art show!) I liked the pinch pots the most. Lily made a tea set! At 6:00 pm we did a recorder show. Lily and I played a song together, Mason, Gabe, Marney, Connor, and Kiki all played solos, and we all play two songs together. Later in the night we went trick-or-treating and got lots of candy! I really liked Lily's eyeball witch costume. After we went trick-or-treating we had too much candy! Late at night we told ghost stories, ate marshmallows, and played on the zipline. Then we slept in for a long time. I can't wait for the next Halloween.

Connor: Happy All Hallows Eve

Hey there toes today is Halloween. I can't wait for tonight because I have come up with a great ghost story. I can't tell any of you yet because I am saving it for tonight. Enjoy this post and beware the ghosts and ghouls. Halloween is a great holiday. Mason is going as the red nosed reindeer. Avery is going as an elf. Gabe is a nutcracker. Marney is a Christmas tree. Kennedy is a candy cane and I think she will look sweet. Max is Santa Claus and Jack is a gingerbread man.

Avery: What I Did Yesterday

Yesterday was chore day. It was fun, but some of it wasn't. We moved all of the mulch, from the mulch pile, along our back gate and the gate by our dog run. It took us hours to move all of it. At night Gabe, Connor, and I played Heroscape without dad. Gabe and Connor had huge armies and I had a small one. I lost and it was just Connor and Gabe playing. At the end Gabe won and Connor lost. I can't wait until next Saturday.

Avery: What I Did Today

Today was very busy! The first thing that Gabe did after breakfast is he went and picked all the radishes from our garden with dad! We had a lot of giant ones. Later in the day we all did our chores. I had to vacuum, Mason had to mop, and Gabe had to clean the rat's cage. after we did our chores we had lunch. we had hot dogs. after we ate our lunch mom and Dad went to get stuff down from the attic, so that we could get stuff for our Halloween costumes. I am going to be an elf! At night Gabe and I had a hand and foot combat. I won! Gabe still did a really good job. I just can't wait for tomorrow.

Connor: Sleepover Night

Tonight is sleepover night. We are having a lot of fun. I enjoy it because I have played wii with Gabe and stayed up late. I love sleepover night. Right now the kids are making popcorn. Jack, by the time you read this for the first time you won't remember this day. Jack, you were very cute tonight. Good night toes.

Avery: What We Did Today

Today we went to the Zilker Park Botanical Garden. We first went letter boxing. We found four of them. My favorite letter box was the haiku one. Here is our haiku:

Dad and Connor made the haiku up all by themselves. I didn't like the rainy day one that much, but we did find a hitchhiker in it. On the last one we did Gabe stepped in dog poo. All of us thought it was super funny. Also we looked at lots of gardens. My favorite one was the Japanese garden. We saw lots of flowers, some trees, and lots of bamboo! There was also a fish pond. The fish were about three feet big (almost the size of me!). I loved going to Zilker Park with Grandma and Grandpa and I hope we can do it again the next time we see them.

Avery: What I Did Yesterday

Yesterday Marney, Kiki, Dad, and I went to Mikenna's birthday party. She was turning five years old! When we first got there Mikenna showed us her kitten that she found at her house. They named him George Ghost because he popped out of the bushes like a ghost. After a few minutes we went to the table so that we could eat food and drink punch. After eating we went outside to put glitter in our hair and play some games. The first game we played is were we had to balance eggs on our spoons. Then we did the pinata. Elder was the one that made all the candy come out. Also we played in a bounce house. It was big and colorful and all of us could fit in it. When it was time for presents everyone was super excited. Mikenna liked the presents that everyone gave her. Marney,Kiki, and I gave her an earing holder for her earings. The birthday party was awesome!

Avery: Sleep Over Plans

This Tuesday Lily and I are going to have another sleep over at her house. Here are a few of our plans:
sleep in the the school room
sew our Halloween costumes
sew clothes for our American girl dolls
and play Marco Polo
We have a lot more plans than that, but I don't feel like listing them all. We have to have it in the school room because we are going to be loud and we are going to laughing a lot. We are going to make Halloween costumes because it is almost Halloween. I am going to be an Elf and Lily is going to be an eyeball witch. I can't wait!

Avery: My sleep over with Lily

The sleep over was awesome! We played store twice. In the game Lily was the cashier and I was the shopper. We switched places so that we could have more fun. In the morning we had to do school. But that was okay with us.

Avery: A Book Review

The School Story

I think that The School Story is an awesome book. It is about a girl named Natalie that wants to get her book that she wrote published. She gives herself another name so that people won't know that a twelve year old girl wrote the book. Her other name was Cassandra Day. Her best friend name Zoe was her agent. Zoe's other name was Zee Zee. At the end of the book everyone knew that Natalie was Cassandra Day and her book got published. Later Natalie and Zoe were super famous. I loved this book and I hope that other people will love it too.

Avery: What I Did Today

Today we moved a lot of mulch to the Japanese Yew. We had to fill up the buckets and then pour the buckets out in the wheelbarrow. Then Dad would pour the wheelbarrow out at the Japanese Yew. It was a lot of hard work. Also we had to weed our rows in the garden. My rows are the Zucchini and the peas. It takes a long time to do everything to our garden. Later we had to do some other chores like recorder, homework for art class, and our reading. I love doing work on Saturdays!

Avery: What I Did Today

Today was exciting! The first thing we did is we went to the Nature Center in Austin. We saw bones and dead bugs and some animals. We saw plenty of birds and turtles. Some of the birds chirped a lot. After we went to the museum we went to Zilker park. It was very fun. All of us played tag and Kiki was it the whole time. It was hard to get away from her. Also we played on the small zipline that it had. It was small but very fun. After playing we went on the train. It was huge! Lily and I sat next to each other. The whole time we talked about Halloween and what we are going to be. I am going to be an elf and Lily is going to be a eyeball witch. After the train we went swimming in the lake at Zilker park. The water was super cold, but we still liked it. After a long time we had ice cream and went home. I love being with our friends.

Avery: What I Did Today

Today we went to Robin's house. When we first got there we went into the school room to eat muffins for breakfast. After breakfast we got to have book club. We are reading the Midwife's Apprentice. It is a really exciting book! After a little while all the kids went outside and took turns with Max in Lily's wagon. In the afternoon we went to the slab to swim. At the slab Lily and I found lots of clams. So now we are keeping our clams at our houses. I am going to learn about clams because I am interested in them. Later we had to go home. I love the slab.

Avery: What I Did Today

Today was buddy day. I was buddies with Connor. Connor is a great buddy, but he does sleep in late. Today we played on the Wii together. We played Wii sports. We did lots of tennis and some baseball and golf. My favorite thing that we did is we did Connor's chemistry class. We tried to make a burner but that didn't work good. I love buddy day
