Connor: Hamlet

Saturday night Mason, Mommio, Daddio and went to see Hamlet.  It was a great play because it was funny as well as sad.  My favorite part involved a play within the play.  After Hamlet we went to IHop.  I had crispy chicken.

Connor: Sea World

Yesterday we went to Sea World with Grandma and Grandpa.  My favorite part of the day was probably seeing Pirates 4-D.  The reason I liked watching Pirates 4-D is because it had tons of action.  We all had fun doing many things.

Connor: The Best Things About Our Vacation

My favorite day of our vacation was the day I became the champ of Lost Worlds.  I like it because I was the champ and I didn't have to fight anyone.  I have more favorite parts of the vacation like the day I wrote another  New Zombie Dragon story.  I also liked letter boxing days because of all the letter boxes we found.  I find it very hard to pick just one day.

Avery: What I Did Yesterday

Yesterday was Halloween! When everyone was here we got to have our dinner, we had tacos. The Weavers and Miki's family was with us. When we had dinner we got to look at the art (We are having an art show!) I liked the pinch pots the most. Lily made a tea set! At 6:00 pm we did a recorder show. Lily and I played a song together, Mason, Gabe, Marney, Connor, and Kiki all played solos, and we all play two songs together. Later in the night we went trick-or-treating and got lots of candy! I really liked Lily's eyeball witch costume. After we went trick-or-treating we had too much candy! Late at night we told ghost stories, ate marshmallows, and played on the zipline. Then we slept in for a long time. I can't wait for the next Halloween.

Avery: What I Did Yesterday

Yesterday was chore day. It was fun, but some of it wasn't. We moved all of the mulch, from the mulch pile, along our back gate and the gate by our dog run. It took us hours to move all of it. At night Gabe, Connor, and I played Heroscape without dad. Gabe and Connor had huge armies and I had a small one. I lost and it was just Connor and Gabe playing. At the end Gabe won and Connor lost. I can't wait until next Saturday.

Mommio: Group Zoo Shots

Mommio: What We Did Yesterday

We went to the San Antonio Zoo yesterday with some other homeschool families. It was a beautiful day and we saw everything at the zoo. We had three grandmas along with us so all the little children (and the adults too) got everything they could ever want out of the trip! My favorite part was watching the kids feed the birds...such great reactions. You can see all the zoo pictures in a slideshow here.

Connor: What We Did Today

Today Grandma, Grandpa, Mommio, the kids and I went to Longhorn Caverns. Longhorn Caverns is a bunch of caverns filled with rocks and crystals. Inside the caverns there was a part where we had to duck because the ceiling was very low. We also saw a rock that looked like Abraham Lincoln's face. We enjoyed looking at all the rocks and crystals and we learned about the history of the caverns. Here is a picture of the rock that looked like Abraham Lincoln's face.
Tonight we are going to watch Inkheart.

Mommio: Wednesday At The Weaver's

We had another great morning at the Weaver's this week- it was beautiful outside, we finished up The Midwife's Apprentice in our book club and got to meet the new goats. It's so cool that our friends are becoming actual goat farmers- and more cool that we are getting to learn along with them...coming soon: goat breeding, baby goats, milking goats, goat cheese, goat soap making. So much to learn!

Mommio: What We Did Today

Today was our first Homeschool Adventure Club meeting of the year and it turned out great. It was the first time using Robin's new classroom- which looked very "school like" inside with all the bug reports, display tables, etc. that Robin set up. She really worked hard to get it set up that way and it showed. Tony also worked hard on the property around the school and it looked beautiful. I really appreciate everything they both did and being able to use their place for our family and homeschool activities. What a great place to have a class! Robin and I taught the kids about bug anatomy at this meeting. Go check out our blog to see all the pictures and notes about today's class. The kids loved it all!
On the down side- Max is pretty sick and has had a high fever and cough since VERY early this morning. Unfortunately Daddio toe is out of town (we miss him!) and Nana toe was away for the day so we had no one for Max to stay home with. He survived the morning though and enjoyed some of it. Connor even took him in to Robin's house to babysit him alone for a while when he was feeling really bad. Thanks Connor! We are expecting that by the time Daddio toe arrives home late Friday he will walk into a very messy house full of sick people. Sorry about that.

Avery: What I Did Yesterday

Yesterday we went over to the Weaver's house so that we could do our book club and some morning chores and visit. The first thing that we did when we got there is we ate our breakfast. We got to eat cereal. Right after breakfast we gave the food scraps to their chickens. The chickens were crazy when the food dropped into their pen. Later we got to put hay in the goat's pen. Their names are Skyla and Cat. They are really cool. When we were watching the goats we played on the trampoline for a little while. Soon we went back to their house so that we could do our book club. We were talking about a book called The Midwife's Apprentice. We also drew pictures from the book. Later we went outside and talked and played for a long time. Later we went home for the afternoon. I love going to the Weaver's house!
