This week in our Civil War Unit Study we are studying one of the most famous speeches in American history- the Gettysburg Address- given by President Abraham Lincoln on November 19, 1863 after the Union victory at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
We'll be learning all about it in our class this week and your job is to memorize this very short speech. There are no rules about how you recite the speech- as long as you say it all and have it memorized (no reading). And if you don't think you can do it, get creative- watch these videos for some inspiration. If a 2 year old can do it, you can too! Each person who does it will earn 10 points for their Civil War regiment. Speeches will be given on Friday the 24th.
