There were people in the woods.  They found some food and then went back to their camp.  They had a fire and cooked meat.  But then, zombies started to grow out of the ground.  The people made it back to their house.  The End or is it?

For this week's post, I want you to write a story about the following picture.  Your story needs to be written in the first person perspective, which means that it has a single narrator that speaks directly to the reader (i.e., "I couldn't believe what I saw when I woke up that morning.").  Your story also needs to be told from the perspective of the girl in the story.  Your story needs to be written in one of the following genres: mystery, horror or science fiction.  Finally, your story needs to be five paragraphs long.

Gabe: Show and Tell

My gift exchange present I got from Connor this year.  It was a awesome bonsai tree!! It is a juniper tree and about a half foot tall and 3 inches wide.  I learned that when you trim or shape it you can plant those in the ground and they will grow.  Also there are two ways to shape i,t you can cut it with the trimmers or you can wrap copper wire around the branches to shape the tree. I can also make a bonsai at home with a shrub.

Kiki: Show and Tell

This Christmas was great, I got a cake pop maker.  We made over forty cake pops.  First we made cake mix then we put oil on the inside of the cake pop maker.  Then we put the cake batter in it then you cook it for four minutes  then let them cool.  Then dip your sticks in icing put them in the cake pops.  Then you dip the cake pops in icing and you can decorate them with sprinkles and candy.  I loved it and we ate them all in one day so I guess they were very, very good.

On Christmas Gabe was my secret Santa.  What he got me was a keyblade.  He asked Jonah to make it.  I really like it. Thank you Jonah and Gabe, you to are the best.  

Marney: Show and Tell

I got a present from Jack for Christmas, it was a kick board and a swimming bag. I use them all the time now and now I do not have to find a board I like. Then my bag is easier to carry around and it can hold more stuff. I was super happy when I got them, one reason is because I always wanted the black board but it would get taken before I got there and so I got a black board for Christmas and my bag does not have as many slots so I do not have to think of where I put my stuff because it has a big slot and it as like a medium slot to put your other stuff.

Connor: Show and tell blog

For Christmas Max gave me a shirt with the raven on it.  I have been wearing the shirt at Joan's and during Ravens games.  I love the shirt and have been showing it off whenever I wear it.  It is a shirt with the poem in the shape of a raven.  It is a gray shirt with black words, a brighter color would be easier to read, but Poe's poetry was a little dark.  All in all I love the shirt and I'm glad Max got it for me.

Connor: Weekly Blog #1

Zombies (part two) by Max

Some zombies came out of the ground.  Then there were people standing right next to where the zombies came out of the ground.  Somebody got bitten.  The giant zombies appeared with armor and weapons.  So then the people fought them with giant machine guns.  The zombies won the battle.  The End

Avery: Show and Tell

For my Christmas gift exchange present this year Kiki got me the game: Zumba Fitness for the Xbox 360 Kinect. She chose to give me a present and 5 minutes later she knew exactly what to get for me! I love the game so much! At first I thought I would be a master at it and show off some, so I didn't take the tutorials. But when I started playing I had to quit less than 5 minutes in because I had no idea how to do the choreography. But then I took the first few tutorials and I'm getting better at it. I haven't finished all the tutorials yet though. They. Are. Hard. I get super exhausted just after 3 tutorials. I don't have any photos of it right now, sorry.

The Zombies by Max

The people went into the forest.  They found a dead zombie.  They went home to see if their house was filled with zombies.  It was.  Then they killed all the zombies in their house.  But then, the nightfall comes.  More and more zombies came up from the ground.  Then the people killed all the new zombies but the giant zombies were not kill.  The End

It's 2013 and that means it's time for us to show the world how psychic the Jones children are. What do I mean? At the start of every year, people like to make predictions for things that they think will happen during the year. Sometimes important things (a major city will get hit by an earthquake) and sometimes not important things (Lindsay Lohan will get arrested again).

For this week's blog post, I want you to post up ten predictions that you think will come true this year.  Make half of them funny predictions and half of them serious predictions. And they don't have to be about famous things- if you want to make a prediction about how many books the Norns' Quest sells, that's okay too.  At the end of the year, we'll look back and see how many came true.
