Connor: Family Meeting Minutes

1. Science experiments will be done on alternating weekends.
2. Cups, plates, and dishes should be cleaned by whomever used them or cleaned by whoever has the table and kitchen wall chores, in the case of Max and Jack.
3. Toes, we have lost the right to cold water and the ability to take our water bottles around the house because we could never find nor remember where we left them.
4. We decided that we need a code for when you want me or Mason in the house. This is what we came up with: two knocks on the wall means you want Mason, three knocks means I have to enter the house, and five knocks means you want both of us.
5. Older toes, the school we are going to on Mondays is part of a club called 4H and therefore as students we are members of said club. There will be many projects, some of which your classes will count toward and some we can and have done at home
6. Everyone, besides myself and Mason, has decided on a zombie prom theme for All Hallows Eve costumes.  Daddio toe will have to go to Goodwill and find prom dresses and tuxedos.
7.We have decided on garden crops for the fall.
8.The kids who read the blog this week are as follows: Gabe- two posts, Avery- two posts,Marney- two posts, Kennedy- one post, and me- two posts, awesome.
9. Attention Dad: do not eat the chocolate chip muffins! They are for us, stay away from them.
10. Daddio told us that he has almost finished writing the next section of his book and that he added new characters.
11. Gabe can't do his pay chores this week so Marney will pick up dog poop and Avery will wash dishes.
12. This week the other older toes and I will have to get ready for when we go to school on Mondays.
13. This month we will go camping at Corpus Christi and we need to plan for that.

Our Halloween weekend was so busy (and fun) that I never got around to posting our schedule for this week. So here goes...

Monday- lazy morning, yoga
Tuesday- Nana Day, Connor orthodontist
Wednesday- Adventure Club meeting at Weaver's Bottom about birds, D&D night
Thursday- back to the sculpture ranch with Nana and the Weavers, outside day
Friday- morning school, Roanoke Unit Study, house chores, movie night
Saturday- go to Walking With Dinosaurs with Nana and Popo
Sunday- yard chores, start ornaments, science, date night

Mommio: Our Week

Another really fun week was had! The weather has been just right to be outside enjoying ourselves and we managed to spend almost everyday outside doing something.... We moved art/music class outside on Monday, Tuesday Robin and I took time for a nice walk, Wednesday we were outside at Weaver's Bottom learning to plant acorns and playing in tons (literally) of dirt, Thursday we spent a beautiful day at the San Antonio Zoo, Friday was spent playing in the yard and basketball, Saturday we worked in the yard and today we went to a Sculpture Ranch. Hopefully the weather will continue for this week!

Monday- Roanoke Unit Study, music (recorder with Robin), art (silhouettes with Mommio), yoga, chemistry with Daddio
Tuesday- Nana Day
Wednesday- morning school at Weaver's Bottom (Doctor Dolittle book club, scooping out pumpkins, and much more), afternoon school
Thursday- going to the Zach Scott theater to see a play called Farm To Market, eat lunch and play at Zilker park, Connor Teen Library League
Friday- school, Roanoke Unit Study, house chores, movie night
Saturday- Halloween! carving pumpkins, trick-or-treating, and backyard camping with friends
Sunday- finish up camping

Mommio: Our Week

It was hard getting back to a "schedule" this last week but we managed somehow, we even fit in a swim at Inks Lake- probably the last of the year. The highlight of the week was the archery class for the four older toes, they loved that! Here's the plan for this week:

Tuesday- Nana Day, Connor orthodontist, Connor and Mason Wii night with homeschool friends
Wednesday- morning at Weaver's Bottom (Doctor Dolittle, burd stuff, terrarium), sleepovers for Marney and Gabe, afternoon school, leveling D&D characters
Thursday- San Antonio Zoo with homeschool friends
Friday- school, Roanoke Unit, house chores, movie night
Saturday- yard chores, finish Wright Brothers science, game night
Sunday- letterboxing, Mom and Dad date night

After a very busy week with G & G toe here to visit we will try to get back to a normal schedule around here this week. Here are the plans:

Monday- Roanoke Unit Study, music (recorder duets), art (relief portraits) and yoga with the Weaver's, chemistry with Daddio
Tuesday- Nana Day, Connor and Mason out to dinner with Mommio, Daddio overnight to Houston
Wednesday- morning at the Weaver's- starting our new book, Doctor Dolittle, for the book club and learning how to make applesauce on a campfire, afternoon school, Daddio home from Houston
Thursday- Roanoke Unit Study, school, Connor, Mason, Avery and Gabe go to archery class with Daddio Connor Teen Library League
Friday- Roanoke Unit Study, school, cooking, house chores, sleepover night
Saturday- yard chores, Wright Brothers science unit with Daddio, family game night
Sunday- letterboxing at the Sculpture Ranch

Mommio: Our Week

Last week went well, it all seems to have been a blur to me though since it just flew by. We didn't have music and art because the Weaver's were out late the night before getting their new goats, but that's okay because we got to meet them all on Wednesday. Connor's neuro. check up went well, his MRI had no changes again so he can wait 2 years now for the next one. Great! This week Grandma and Grandpa are visiting AND it is supposed to rain all week so all bets are off on the schedule...but here is what we have planned so far:

Monday- Russia Morning- learning all about Russia, G & G's trip there, making food and crafts, yoga, Nana & Popo leave to balloon festival
Tuesday- cook "snake" breadsticks
Wednesday- Adventure Club on reptiles at Robin's place, D&D
Thursday-
Friday- Sea World, N & P return
Saturday-
Sunday- G & G leave, chores, science

We also might: go letterboxing, swim at Inks Lake, swim here, swim at the hotel, go to Longhorn Caverns, go bowling, go to Sweet Berry Farms, go to the Witte Museum, do some more baking...and much more, or less.

We had a great week- Avery even had an unplanned sleepover with Lily that went so well they will be trying it again this week. Gabe's had a long, exciting birthday week and we are all recovering from that! This week we are getting ready for Grandma and Grandpa to arrive and:

Mommio: Our Week

We had a really busy, really fun week and we did everything we had planned to do and more. We got to swim twice this week (at the Slab and at Barton Springs) and are going again here today. We had a great field trip with homeschool friends, you can look at the pictures here. We finished our World Religions Unit Study and got started on some new ones. And no one was sick all week! Here's what we are planning for this week:

Tuesday- Gabe's Alone Nana Day/Night, Inks Lake swimming

Saturday- Gabe's turns 8!, birthday party, bow and arrow/slingshot practice, lake swimming

Mommio: Our Week

Continued sickness last week kept us from many of our plans, again. We did manage to get the garden all planted but had to cancel Max's well-check and our field trip to the Nature Center. The highlights of the week were Daddio going to yoga with us, Avery getting her ears pierced, starting our new geography study, finishing up our Buddhism unit and Daddio and Connor starting their Chemistry study yesterday with the real chemistry set. Here's what we are aiming for this week:

Monday- World Religions Unit Study, music (recorder duets), art (clay sculptures) and yoga with the Weaver's
Tuesday- Nana day, Connor dentist appointment
Wednesday- morning school and book club (Midwife's Apprentice) at Weaver's Bottom, afternoon school, D&D
Thursday- field trip with homeschool friends to Austin Nature Center and Zilker Park (trying again!), Connor Teen Library League
Friday- school, finish World Religions Unit Study, house chores, family movie night
Saturday- buddy day, yard chores, groceries, science (starting a unit on the Wright Brothers in preparation for our N.C. trip in December), family game night
Sunday- hopefully a lake swimming day (Nana and Popo's house), Gabe's birthday night out with Mommio and Daddio (going to see Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs)

Mommio: Our Week

Whew--we made it through the week with sick kids and Daddio toe gone for three days. The house was quite a wreck by the time he got home but it is now Sunday and all that has been fixed, no one is sick and the garden even got planted today. Needless to say- last week was a mess and we didn't get much done (other than a great Adventure Club meeting). So, here's to hoping we stick to the plan this week! Here it is:

Monday- mulch the garden, work on the Daily Girl, Buddhism Unit Study, yoga (with Daddio!)
Tuesday- Nana day, Max well-check appointment, Avery getting her ears pierced
Wednesday- Mason new dermatologist appt., afternoon school, D&D
Thursday- field trip with homeschool friends to Austin Nature Center and Zilker Park

Saturday- buddy day, yard chores, groceries, science (Daddio and Connor start the new chemistry set), family game night

Mommio: Our Week

Last week turned out to be quite a bit slower than we had planned. The Weaver's have been sick (and still are) so we did not have Wednesday morning at their house and we didn't go on a field trip Thursday since they were going with us. So, for the most part we had a week at home and it was kind of nice to do that for a change. We took our time doing school and relaxed a little. This week we get back to being busy again!

Monday- music & book club at our house with the Weavers, making cricket cookies, yoga
Tuesday- Nana day (if she is feeling better)
Wednesday- Buddhism unit study, Homeschool Adventure Club: Bugs, Daddio toe leaves to Hartford for three days
Thursday- school, Buddhism unit study, Connor Teen Library League
Friday- school, Buddhism unit study, house chores, sleepover night, Daddio toe gets home
Saturday- yard chores, science, grocery shopping, family game night
Sunday- family day (no plans yet), Kyle and Jen date night- Nana babysit

First of all, few changes from last week- Daddio was only gone one night, which was great. Connor's MRI was rescheduled so we had no appointments this week. And the biggest change was a surprise visit from Rob on Saturday! And we didn't swim much today because the water was really disgusting and hot.

Another busy week flew by...we didn't end up doing school in the afternoon on Wednesday because we were all so tired from our first great morning at the Weaver's. Just something new in our schedule that we will work on to get used to, we'll try to get some school work done this Wednesday. Other than that we stuck to our plans again last week quite well. Good job toes!
