This morning we took a break from the beach and headed over to Sea Turtle Inc., a local sea turtle rescue group. We listened to a really great talk about the turtles and learned lots if interesting things (did you know that green sea turtles are called that because they only eat green things?), then we got to tour their facility where they treat injured and sick turtles. We also found out that the first hatch and release for the year of Kemp's Ridley sea turtles is going to happen here next week so we are really hoping we can make it to that!
After checking out the turtles we headed to the visitor center to see what was supposed to be a really impressive sand castle. Not so impressive since it was in a building.
And back to the beach for an afternoon of waves and sand.
We are all exhausted, having this much fun is hard work!
